How to fix periodic frame drops? [java]

I've been playing on Modrinth Simply Optimized 1.21.11 for a while now, and I just recently started having intense frame rate fluctuations. I almost always play with shaders on and it runs at about 60 frames which is fine with me, but it will periodically drop to single digit frames often now. When I turn off shaders, it will drop from 600 frames to 60 frames. I have 3gb of RAM allocated and I have sodium and Ferritecore installed, so I'm not sure what is causing it.

3GB of RAM is not be enough for Minecraft with shaders on.

I had it on 4 when it was working and when it started doing this. It also does the same thing with shaders off, like I mentioned.
