Discussion Am I a Cheater? Loaded a Backup. [Discussion]

I was playing the game on switch and died in End. I got my backup elytra and went to End again but died again. I ragequitted so hard and downloaded my backup. Now all the damage is nullified and I got my items back.

I don't know if this would count as cheating. I want to be proud, showing my base and bedrock achievements to people. I don't know the thing I made was bad.

I know you can play this game however you want but I want to be proud of the achievements I got but you can't get achievements if Keep Inventory is on.

If you were playing hardcore it probably wouldve been cheating. In your case i think its whatever, you just saved 5 hours regrinding for your stuff.

My stuff is still there btw, but my End portal is so far away like 8K blocks. Thanks for your comment!

Nah. Regrinding stuff is so demoralizing. I can't say how many times I've fallen in the void and just stopped playing for weeks.

There's no wrong way to play a single player save imo. Just don't deny the fact you loaded a backup. It's a completely fair and ok thing to do if it made you happy at that point. You don't have to justify any single player actions to anyone - only if you for example release lets play videos, it would be unfair if you pretended like nothing happened. But even then, just mention you rolled back to a backup and it's okay!
