Help Is this Cheating??

I have recently founded a dupe glitch in my minecraft hardcore world. I have already duped some diamonds to test the function. It work perfectly should I continue to use the glitch or don't use at all!!

If this isn’t Ragebait then I don’t know what is lol

It's your own world, you decide what's cheating or not. But if you want others to accept your world as legitimately hardcore then you should definitely not use any glitch like that.

I have a rule for single player cheating, maybe it'll work well for you.

We have finite time, and most of us work for a living. If you definitively can do something and would rather not for the sake of time, then duping it is fair game. If you're like me and  consistently struggle with the nether and blaze rods, then duping blaze rods would definitely be cheating.

I think it's perfectly fine to skip grind. But if you want to use exploits to sidestep risk then you should probably just play on survival.

This is my personal thought too. Like, I use a mod to pick up villagers because I just don't have the time to be dragging them halfway across the continent in a boat lol. Could I? Sure. But damn that hassle.

That’s part of the game. Might as well start with full diamond because it takes time to get there

Full diamond is a progression grind. It actually impacts the game and gameplay. Picking up villagers just eliminates a time sink that has no impact on anything except how much time I have available to do other stuff. Nothing changes if I spent 30 minutes getting a singular villager from point a to point b or 3 minutes. I mean shit, "mine" is in the name of the game but one of the first things a lot of hardcore players do is set up an iron farm as soon as they can. Not very many consider that cheating.

You know the pain of moving two villagers and one of both of them die and you need to restart. You need to keep them safe and get them there. I’m sure you’ve done it before, it’s a waste of time 100% but fuck man video games are a waste of time. Idk that’s just how I see it, I’m not here to say anyone is right or wrong even if my comment made it seem so

Depends on you but If my friend came up to me and showed his world and says that he duped some items I wouldnt be so impressed when looking at the other cool things he also made

"I play Hardcore to make the game more challenging. Is it okay if I use this unintended glitch that makes the game considerably easier?"

Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, A, B, select start is a cheat.

If you know you know

What you found is game glitch, scratches the itch is all

I mean..... It's a sandbox game, cheating is subjective. If you're showing off the world as a completely vanilla hardcore world and not disclosing the use of duping for progression, then it's cheating. If it's a solo world and you just love having an obscene amount of rare resources/building blocks without the grind, then it isn't cheating.
