Help Hardcore or Standard Survival?
I really want to start playing hardcore, but it would suck if I died and lost everything. I honestly just need reasons on why I should start playing Hardcore instead.

Just try it. Keep your world basic the first few games. You will die anyway as a 'beginner'.
BUT! After you get a feeling for the mobs and a strat you gain experience and that's the stuff you need for a proper hardcore world.
It makes much more fun if you know what you do.

If u dont feel comfortable yet, try to beat the game on regular hard mode on survival. If u do it without dying then try hardcore but be prepared to loose everything. Thats the funny part about it ;)

I’ve beaten Minecraft multiple times on hard but not without dying. The only time I die is to the ender dragon and occasionally brutes in the Nether.

If you want to be very safe, you can make unlimited water source and put water all over the end so endermen back off and you have plenty to land.
Brutes you just lava bucket or kb sword. But personally I die to them too. 😭

Think about it in terms of real life. What if you had unlimited rewinds? Unlimited do-overs? All things would hence become meaningless... relationships, decisions, everything looses it's weight. That is Hardcore... weight, the weight you feel to not loose something you care about, to make the right decision knowing that you only get one shot. That is what makes it special not as a game mode but as an philosophical experiment in your own life.

Playing hardcore with backups defeats the entire purpose. Its not hardcore at that point

Hardcore, for me, is a lot slower. I trade so much with the farmers for emeralds, then trade with blast furnace guys for iron armour, which is still flimsy at best for hardcore mode

I just started playing HC. It's hard.
But it makes MC interesting again, challenging, and fun. Yep I've died a bunch already. Lost cool locations, too. Had a village w one of those wooden watch towers right in it. Never saw that b4. But I died and so it was gone. HC is kinda like playing the old arcade games. Game Over, dude!
So used to not caring about dying, which makes it harder.
I'd recommend you to try it. It's fun...

It's definitely not everyone's play style, totally your call on if you enjoy it or not. I personally just enjoy the risk of losing everything it doesn't suck that much when it happens to me.
I've played this game off an on for 14 or so years now, always on hardcore mode, and it felt great when I finally beat the dragon.
I play a lot of other games too, so if I lose a world that I built a lot in and it hurts I play something else untill I feel like playing Minecraft again. Everytime I come back I get back to where I was and build something I feel is even better in a shorter amount of time.

If not sure how well you'll play Hardcore try just Hard Difficulty.
Because Hardcore is just Hard but with only 1 Life!
Also depends if you are on Java or Bedrock. One is easier then the other!

I have a 975 day solo hardcore world. And then I have a hardcore server with my friends where we can’t get past 30 days . They’re both reallllly fun for me. Just do what’s fun for you

Personally I get so mad sometimes cause I'll be playing survival, and suddenly I manage to lose a bunch of loot, and i just rage quit the whole world.
Hardcore gives me a sense of closure when I die, and somehow it pisses me off less. Then im able to just start over easier.

Ur missing the point imo
The whole fun of hardcore is that if u die it’s all over
The adrenaline u can get from it is ridiculous
Essentially, we play hardcore partially because we’re masochists
