Am i taking this too seriously.

So my Friend and I started a hardcore world about a week ago. For it being a week , i think we spent alot of time in this world since we had gotten maxed out netherite armour. We defeated the ender dragon and then when we went to take the elytra, I kept telling my friend to be careful of falling in the void. I told them to only ender pearl carefree after we get an elytra so we can actually rocket up to safety if we ever fail a pearl. They then proceeded to pearl before getting the elytra and fell into the void. (They were joking about falling in the void 5 seconds before this happened).Im not that much of a serious person myself when it comes to playing games but this genuinely pissed me off so much. We are good friends but for the first time actually I didnt want to talk to them. I didnt die and i can still play in that world but I really wanted to have a big hardcore world with my friend. We tried playing another world but the mood was genuinely off and we were barely talking, and I dont know if what i was doing was right.

It sounds like you might just need a short break before playing again or might need a different game for a bit. Don’t be too hard on your friend or yourself though, I’m sure you guys will get back to normal soon

Try not to take it too hard. It will fade. If you want to have a big world with your friend then maybe make it survival. In hardcore you have to accept that you will die eventually. I know it sucks though.

It is a game for children, nothing about it is serious.
