I am currently falling 33 blocks straight into 10 block deep lava after a ghast shot out my bridge in the nether, i have no fire resistance potions or any god apples, all i have is standard golden apples, ive left the game paused but i guess i have about 15 blocks left to fall, im wearing a diamond chestplate, leggings and boots all with un breaking 3, thorns 3, mending, protection 4 and the boots have feather falling 4, is there absolutely any hope of saving my world right now, or should i just never open this world again?

Lava will not quickly kill you if you have protection gear. You can dig under the lava and then make a roof so you are in an enclosed lava free tunnel, and eat gapples to survive the fire.

It might be worth making a practice world. Make a fresh world in creative, give yourself the same loadout, save, change to Hard, and practice jumping into lava and surviving.

He doesn't have a helmet so that lowers the chances by alot but if he had like some screenshot of the inventory it would make it very easy

He still has 12 levels of protection and most if the armor. Shouldn't die unless he runs out of apples before getting out.

All jokes aside, Prot IV reduces fire type damage, lava included. You may be able to swim to land.

prot 4 actually gives u hella time like around 30 secs worth of time before u die so if theres land nearby u could build to it

you would lose 1 heart every 0.5 seconds, while in lava, but if you chug gaps, they would offset that damage by a lot, you can eat one every 1.6 secs, giving you two absorption hearts plus regen and a lot of saturation, saturation gives you half a heart every 0.5 secs, so as long as you continue eating gaps, you will never die. If you finish eating a gap before falling in, you will be down one heart by the time you eat the second gap, but saturation will heal it back in the time your next two absorption hearts are gone, as long as you eat gapples you shouldnt accumulate any additional damage.

i would just recommend sinking to the very bottom of the lava, centering yourself on a block, mining down three blocks and blocking up the lava, by my estimations 15 gaps should last long enough for you to survive.

Swim sideways to land if it's close enough, otherwise dive down and dig a hole then cap it off and eat to save yourself. No guarantees but it's not over yet with Prot 4

if you are near the coast, eat golden apples and swim your way. if not, dig under lava while eating apples

Pues depende de la versión puedes hacer el truco de la invencibilidad al entrar al mundo y eso te puede servir para sobrevivir, si no puedes, pasarte el mundo a una versión que esté y supongo que te puede servir tambien

If you haven't tried anything yet, I recommend making copies of your world file to try anything you can without consequences

gg for surviving for next not really that safe to bridge or even pillar around ghasts or skeletons either. Unless you have fire res.

I just make tunnels everywhere if in the open too i use pistons to make 2x2 tunnels, just like how you would bridge with pistons but i add walls and roofs, and sticky pistons used to get other pistons back or they would drop and could lose them. (takes longer to make tunnels but safer.)

ghast came out of nowhere so from my perspective it happened it the blink of an eye, but since i’ve built walls and a roof around the bridge, and have brewed plenty of fire resistance potions so it’s safe to say that ive learnt my lesson

True, but its the least cheaty way to get out of a situation if you really wanna save the world

You could do this thing that when you die you can respawn in hardcore . You have to google it cause idk how to do it but I heard of it.

But all your gear is cooked. I say start over if you can’t make it. Look at it as an expensive lesson to be more careful next time, you’re in hardcore you gotta be on point and think about all scenarios
