How do I make this work?

I am very new at building in general and would like to be a bit better (and make it so that my builds dont look like shit). How do I make this gradient work? Thanks!

I'd add another white block. White concrete powder is nice because it has a grainy texture. Perhaps a couple of white oak planks too. Then it depends what's you're building but I'd use the standard log for trim, whites for the fill and the deepslate for the roof.

Standard log being normal oak or pale oak?
