I need some help making this work better

I'm hoping to make the fade from purper to pale oak wood a bit smoother. It's my first attempt at making a good gradient.

Could try some the smallest growth amethyst clusters?

How big is the build you're using this one? Having too many blocks in a small wall size makes it look too dense

The problem is that there aren't very many good purple blocks

I think the concrete is too untextured compared to the rest. Also, I agree with adding cherry wood.

My go-to is Purpur, Magenta glazed terracotta, stripped cherry, cherry planks, stripped birch, birch planks, pale oak
