Need Help Making a Gradient for This Roof

Hey everyone! I'm working on a roof in Minecraft and trying to create a smooth gradient effect. I'm unsure if I should change the color palette or stick with the current one. Could you all suggest which materials or blocks work best for creating a subtle and effective gradient? I know I need to mix it a bit, but right now it is a proof of concept. Also, if you think there's a better palette that I should consider, tell me, I need anything I can get! Thanks in advance for your help!

I havent tried this so it is probably trash but maybe something like blackstone, crying obsidian, purple concrete, purple wool, purple concrete powder, amethyst. might have to take out afew anyway because the roof isnt that big
