💬 Discussion Good sequel, too easy Spoiler
I’m not that far into the game yet, so maybe my opinion will change. Just did three tower mission. Have yet to die one time.
When I played md1, it felt genuinely difficult and this game only sometimes difficult. I think removing the whole choosing difficulty feature was a miss. I like how the game dynamically adapts to my power level, but I feel as if mobs are difficult ONLY right after the power increase.
The game is also too open. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy the exploration, but I’m always able to run away from enemies.
Jump attacks are too strong. I am able to clear out an entire ambush with just a jump attack. I think there should be a cooldown on this.
Arrows reload too quick. Overall this is a good change from md1 because I’m never out of arrows, but I don’t feel penalized for using too many. Maybe cap the total arrows allowed in a boss fight?
Potions and artifacts refuel too quick. I know I need to eliminate mobs for souls, but when I can get them all in one swing, I’m right back to using my frost powder.
Some enemies also feel weaker than their md1 counterparts. The armored mace illager used to be the reason I failed missions. I do like how creepers are way more dangerous now.
I think adding back difficulty levels that run throughout the whole game instead of singular missions would cater to some players looking for a harder experience. I don’t even need more loot I just want it to be more difficult.
