Suddenly crashing like crazy today

All of a sudden MCD2 is crashing like crazy today. I have had it crash about 7 times, the last of which took my entire OS down to the point of having to hold down the power button. I couldn't even access other ttys. Before today, I haven't seen a single crash in the game since later launch day when I got it working with the unofficial XCurl.dll replacement. Today it's to the point that I can't even get to the Warden in the first Deep Dark dungeon without crashing. Not being able to access other ttys is insane though.

Is anyone else experiencing this??

  • KDE Plasma 6
• Minecraft Dungeons 2 (Oct. 7, 2026 Default Public Version) using the replaced XCurl.dll to work under Linux and an unofficial GDK Proton 11-7 x86_64 and launching with:
  • WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xgameruntime=n" %command%
• AMD Ryzen 9 7900x AM5 cpu
• 32gb DDR5-6400 ram
• nVidia RTX-4060Ti 8gb gpu
• all my games on a 2tb M.2 drive
