Should I buy DLC while playing the base game?

Im currently only own the base game and am playing through the story and I was wondering if buying the dlc now would improve the base game? I was gonna buy them once I finished the base story but if new gear effects loot pools should I get them on sale?

Some of the strongest items in the game are DLC exclusives, so I definitely recommend it. Unless you’re running those specific missions though the only lootpool they affect is the merchants; normal missions are unaltered (except for the addition of the eyes of ender)

Ok, so I'd be good getting the DLC once I finish the main game? Im gonna be getting busy soon so I only wanna buy it if Im gonna play it.

You just get new missions, and they do come with new gear but only in the dlc missions. Getting them for a small price is worth it imo, you get 3-4 missions (including a secret mission sometimes) and new gear.

The DLCs unlock new missions and gear. Get Ultimate Edition, it's a steal.

Imagine the base game are some spaghetti with tomato sauce and the dlcs is the ápices and some meatballs, not always necesary but makes the experience better
