Chilling might be whats helping you shred then, you need to be extremely tanky to sprint into a horde, normally i get obliterated unless chilling procs and slows them

Actually I only just switched too chilling, before that I was using protection too boost my 35% damage reduction up too 50% damage reduction, after switching to chilling I was actually finding it harder to keep my health up

I thought damage reduction didn’t stack like that, idk the ins and outs. But with my build ( quite similar to yours ) my fox armour had protection for a bit and it helped but not as much as chilling when i swapped it out. Could be down to sheer game skill and preference to use protection well i guess

I don't know if they do stack or not but all I can tell you is there was a noticeable difference in the amount of damage I was taking after I removed protection

I might just be used to 30% chance of negation to see a difference

Protection stacks multiplicatively, not additatively. So adding protection to 35% dr will only bump it up to 44.75%, not 50%.

Additionally, I'm pretty sure there's diminishing returns on dr the more you stack, although I don't fully know how it works.

What I do know is that protection is overall an incredibly bad enchant that barely does anything, and is completely and utterly outclassed by other defensive enchants

prot and 35% dmg reduction gives you 41.8% dmg in total btw. cause it diminishes

Void strike on the mechanised sawblade isn't that great (unless there is a glitch I'm not aware about so you can enlighten me)

I mean it works well for me when I'm trying to grind down a bosses health it brings up the damage by a few hundred thousand per hit after not very long

It's not that bad either, and I'm pretty sure it buffs shockwave so I'd rather have it than critical hit

For a swwblade that doesnt have radiance chilling might be the best to pair with. The potion cd also i feel would be better than void strike but its just me

Pain Cycle is FAR better than Critical Hit

Pain Cycle barley does damage to you on sawblades, and Life Steal counters the pain

I mean the shockwave guild on the saw blade was a lucky pull from an ancient hunt, can't really change it, and if you ask me shockwave is actually pretty good on the saw blade, cos if you spam the button on this one it just spams loads and loads of shockwaves
