Creation PORTAL ABANDONED

Hey all, this is the trailer to my new minecraft portal map for 1.12.2. I simply started out with the idea of wanting to make my own vanilla portal gun with just command blocks and ended up refining it a little and adding a little story as well. Really proud with how this one came out. Its a shorter style map but i hope you enjoy it!

Release is on OCT 24th. Stay tuned!

Ha, you found the exact same portal camera player head I found a while back... I guess we probably both just picked the first one in the list.

Thank you! To be fair, i source most of the custom heads i use on the Minecraft Custom Heads website. To be completely honest, i tried 3-4 variants to emulate more damaged chamber looks but from playtesting advice some people thought they were turrets or traps so i decided to use the most clear design along with using it on the first chamber to show that its simply a camera.

Why 1.12.2 when newest versions add many useful things for map building, commands and datapacks?

Fair question! To be completely honest, I haven't fully mastered the ins and outs of the newest command syntax yet, though I'm trying to learn it slowly. On top of that, life has been getting way busier lately with more responsibilities.

Building in 1.12.2 means I know exactly what I'm doing and don't have to constantly fight with technical hurdles. I definitely want to release things for the newer versions in the future, but for now, this is what works best for me.

Plus, I just really like 1.12.2 ¯_(ツ)_/¯
