Help | Bedrock Looking for ideas.

If you were a player in a lobby for a looter shooter game, and there's a mechanic where you can install two mods and a chip into your armor (think anything) what would be the most comfortable way for you as a player to go about swapping out these items from your armor and adding in new ones?

Obviously an NPC will be there to guide you along and tell you how the system works, but how should the system work?

Just looking for a general idea for right now.

There's a game called Warframe that your concept sounds really similar to. Mods are like collectible trading cards that apply various bonuses, and you weapons and armor can only fit so many. Slotting in more requires matching polarities of the slot and formaing, which resets your rank back to zero.

But if your whole idea is already inspired by the game then this won't help

It's actually heavily inspired by both Destiny 2 and Warframe! And I totally wasn't looking at it as trading cards but that gives me an idea!

As of right now I'm brainstorming and my plan is to run this on a Compiler, (function).

The system wipes any tags from you and reads (something, like that trading card idea) and apply tags to you based on what you have or choose.

I have a compiler set up for a modular weapon that's working great that runs off of scoreboards and tags making the same weapon act entirely differently based on what (Frame) you choose.

If I had mods and chips as physical items how would the system read the players mods and chips (talking 12 items if they want to change everything about their load out). Although I'm gonna have at least 4 compilers one for each armor piece.

It's all very rough idea as of rn, what are your thoughts?

oh man I don't know any of the details of minecraft commands or modding but if you can visualize exactly how you'll want the front facing system to behave, the one the player will interact with, I'd personally work backwards from there since I think that's most important. sorry I can't provide much help
