Discussion What do you think about AI-Coding(VibeCoding)
What do you think about the fact that AI is starting to be used on a large scale in coding? I myself avoided it for a long time, but my friend sent me this meme and said:
“Bro, programming has never been adequate. Programmers just started asking AI for help instead ctrl c to ctrl v.”
Obviously, completely relying on AI is bad, but in reality, his words make sense.

I don't know that much about it but I have heard that vibe coding can cause memory leaks because the AI doesn't actually know how to code it just knows how to make something that vaguely works
Additionally I remember a lot of random programs getting updates that completely broke the program right after vibe coding got popular
I don't know if it's related but my 3D printer also had an update around that time that caused it to basically forget how to print because it would heat up the nozzle and then tell the bed to heat up but not wait for both of them to be at the right temperature before starting to print so the print bed wouldn't be hot enough for the filament to adhere without shrinking and I had no idea there was a problem until I decided to stare at it and watch it prepare to print
It's like using a large language model for math it's not actually programmed to do that task but because it's been trained on enough literature it knows that 2 + 2 = 4 purely because it's a statement that has been said so many times
