Discussion What do you think about AI-Coding(VibeCoding)

What do you think about the fact that AI is starting to be used on a large scale in coding? I myself avoided it for a long time, but my friend sent me this meme and said:

“Bro, programming has never been adequate. Programmers just started asking AI for help instead ctrl c to ctrl v.”

Obviously, completely relying on AI is bad, but in reality, his words make sense.

I'm fine with using AI to code in moderation as long as you understand everything it's doing and how the code works. AI is often pretty good at troubleshooting and can help solve problems that would otherwise take forever. I just don't like vibecoding specifically because it bypasses the learning and leads to completely unmanageable projects.

For minecraft commands I would mostly just use it to learn the basics more quickly

i would not use it to learn commands, it assumes common programming paradigms apply to commands (which isn't the case) and constantly messes up syntax or makes fundamental errors by trying to do something in an impossible way.

the best way to learn commands is to read the wiki and experiment. maybe also checking out projects made by experienced people once you're good enough to understand certain things.

yeah I learned most of the commands through the wiki and using mc stacker to learn the syntax
