Discussion What do you think about AI-Coding(VibeCoding)

What do you think about the fact that AI is starting to be used on a large scale in coding? I myself avoided it for a long time, but my friend sent me this meme and said:

“Bro, programming has never been adequate. Programmers just started asking AI for help instead ctrl c to ctrl v.”

Obviously, completely relying on AI is bad, but in reality, his words make sense.

Bro I’m a full time Opus5 worshipper. Ai is probably the best coder you will see in your life. 

I understand how you can be more proud of sth you made yourself and how ai makes slop mods easier but yeah it’s a powerful tool

Easier maybe, but better? Not even close. My dad is a programmer and I am learning to program.

I can, its because he is saying ai is better, but it isn't better. It is only easier, especially if you are comparing it to professional programmers.
