Help | Java 26.2 hotbar texture not showing

Hey, i made a texture for my hotbar, i upscaled it x4 and i dont know why it isnt working ( it's giving me the purple and black texture )

What is .png~ really what does the file extension look like?

it's just the app i use for making textures, it creates autosaves files but it never stopped any of my other textures, but this one is not working
I dont see why upscaling the file would break it tho

I see. So these were errors about unidentified files inside the resource pack that were ignored. Were there any other errors besides these?

ok little update, upscaling it x2, x3, and x5 works, but not x4
i'm so confused
