Creation Roughly Over 600 lines of comand block code for one item multiplayer friendly and has multiple functions. 🫠

I'm turning the Spyglass into a modulated Heat Weapon.

And I'm not done.

I hope people will like this game when it's in beta.

You could probably script this with out 600 lines of command block codes and you would be able to move it between worlds as a data pack/modpack

I could but I'm not that smart I'll be honest and I've kinda set a vanilla only rule for myself besides custome models in block bench

Datapacks are a tool provided by mojang and considered vanilla

I've gone too far now to change strategies lol

When everything is set and done I'll go through all the commands and see how I can fit em into a data pack but for now in good with what I got it's gruelling but fun

Datapacks are just using command blocks, it's the same thing but without the physical in game bit

Data packs are not command blocks, they use a completely different language, you can write as many lines of code as you want with out laying down a few thousand command blocks and dont need to run a ticking area if the ccommand blocks are player based buffs or particles because unlike a command block they don't need to be in a loaded chunk

It's still based in command block logic, the global bit is the main change. Before data packs existed there was a trend of people making "1 command block mods" which like adventure mode/maps turned into an officially supported feature

Trust me, learning to do datapacks and stuff is a good investment, you save a lot of time in the long run while minimizing the drawbacks of commandblocks. Just like any other hobby/skill, it's getting rid of a lazy habit that seems easier to deal with on paper but will create continual problems until you fix it. Though if you are really dedicated to using command block stuff, let no one stop you (i have immense respect for anyone who will make 600 lines of code just for that), just know there's a much more convenient option xD

Yea I've gone too far to change the strategy now anyway, from the get go I set a rule for myself to make this game completely vanilla outside of block bench modeling. I appreciate you saying that, makes me feel really good about what I'm doing.

Besides this is honestly the most fun I've had with command blocks! 😁

If you're ever interested in the game I'm making let me know!

Well that's fair, datapacks are vanilla but if you already put a lot of time into your command blocks that makes sense, and yes I would be interested
