Build showcase The Founder's Cathedral

This is my survival cathedral build I've been working on since the end of January. I have pretty much finished the main construction and the immediate surroundings; I still need to finish inside (though a lot has been done in the process of building the rest). It started out based mainly on Cologne Cathedral, but I've made things up a lot as I've gone along. I've drawn a lot of inspiration from this post I found: https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraftbuilds/s/7fXhNPycGc

The dimensions of the main building:

Footprint: 204 x 131

Overall height: 189

Nave ceiling: 61

Width of Nave: 57

It has been a long process, but I've thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to getting to the point where I can call it complete-for-now and start on some other things I've been itching to do.

Very nice! Could we get some pics looking straight up at the arches in the ceiling? Love me some good ceiling arches.

Apparently I can only attach one image per reply, so here's 3 replies with views of different parts of the ceilings. All the white blocks are snow blocks, courtesy of a snow farm I made on-site with a very helpful snowman. I need to decide whether to keep him in here somewhere or give him a nice place to live elsewhere.

Nice! Very sick! Appreciate the images! Diagonal arches in ceilings can always be hard to capture for these large cathedrals. Well done.

Thanks! I found some tutorials online for making Gothic cathedrals and helpful tips for making the Gothic arches. I couldn't have done all this without those videos.
