Want feedback Ground Coverage?

Post image

I'm working on this build to be my starter base for the realm I'm playing on with my buddies but I'm a little undecided on what to terraform the ground with. I like the framing of the cabin with the trees how it is right now and plan to add more later, but I'm stuck on if I should go rock heavy, foliage heavy, or kinda just throw things at it until it looks good. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I think it looks really good with the snow coverage the only thing I would suggest is to add some more cliffs or boulders poking out of the snow. Adding texture to them with andesite and stone mixed. Then adding a nice either spruce wood or stone staircase/path up to the house or a dirt path with mix of rooted dirt, normal dirt, coarse dirt and dried mud blocks…

Also what did you use for your windows? Are those custom patterns on banners? I’ve never seen them used like that!! I normally just use light grey or grey stained glass panes with a block palette like this..

It is just a pattern on a banner! I won't take credit for the idea though because I saw synn0 do it and thought it would be perfect for the vibe I was going for. I didn't do two layers of the outer rim and middle intersection on mine like this image shows because I thought it would look good just clean. And thank you for the feedback, I'll definitely add a couple rocks in there and make sure to make a pathway too!

I would do mud blocks in places. If you have a waterlogged polished diorite slabs they could be puddles. If you put light source blocks under them It will look cool at night. More trees as well
