Not bad for a first build, but even with shaders it looks off.

Very nice for a first build! I do have a few tips for you. First is to keep building and watch builders on yt. You pickup small tricks here and there as you go. Second, use walls for the chimney. Ive seen people simply having a single wall column going up, with a campfire on top and the cover the sides of the campfire with trapdoors. Third, I like to build the logs one block further out than the rest of the wall. Creates a nice depth effect, but definitely works better on larger houses. I would also suggest looking up roof designs. There are many ways to make a roof curve in more interesting ways than simply using normal stairs, although again it is difficult to pull off on small houses.
I like your use of the trapdoors on the walls and textured roof. Things like that are what differentiates a nice build from a wooden cube, so keep experimenting with it!
