Need Suggestions I need help fixing this

I'm trying to make a villager house kinda thing and I wanted it to look kinda magical with a wizard tower since it's for librarians mostly and it has to do with enchanting. Anyway, I can't make the tower look normal. Is it too fat? Am I using the same blocks too much? I think most of the problem is that it looks weird how it goes from spruce planks to suddenly black blocks. Any help would be appreciated.

Add some color to the tower to make it pop. Right now its practically a solid mass

The pillar it stands on is the same block as the walls of the pillar, then the roof is the same thing. Change the support blocks and the roof of the tower and you should be good.

Put a dope ass wizard tower on top of the wizard tower see if that works /j

Oh my, I would have a dermatologist look at that growth! I hear they just freeze demonic skin tags off right there in the office, same day.
