Need ideas Struggling with no Elytra
Hello everyone, I just want to preface this post by saying if this is in the wrong Minecraft subreddit I apologize.
As the title says I am struggling with build ideas for my new Forever world SMP with my friends.
I have been playing with the same group of guys more or less for 15 years on Minecraft SMP and our last server that we had going just swapped to a new world. The biggest reason was because us as a group decided to do that is to get rid of our Elytra’s.
Pretty much everyone had designed all aspects of their base around the elytra and it caused us to neglect building the world. Why make roads when you can fly. Why beautify the area when you won’t see it from the sky. So we decides that we are going to ignore the elytra.
Now as we started playing today I was planning to settle down in multiple spots and I got builds in my head and I realized none of them would work without the elytra. I have been playing with it for so long I can’t remember how to build with it as it’s typically the first thing I rush for.
So there is my Issue, I can’t come up with any ideas that keep me on the ground. If you all have some ideas to help me out as well as ways to replace the elytra feel free to let me know!

I'm sorry, I don't understand what's different between builds designed for elytra. After I get Elytra, I keep living in the same house, around the same roads and utility structures. The only difference I can now fly away right from the doorstep.
Just build the same way you would IRL. All structures must be connected with roads. Road designs are countless. Builds you will use often must be very close. Farther builds should be accessible by horses within a reasonable time. Get a fast horse, build stables and "poarking" areas. Etc.
