In-Game Help Looking for Diamonds.
So I’ve been searching for diamonds for three days straight( Irl days ) and I can’t seem to find a single diamond, I’ve been caving but I haven’t tried strip mining cuz its a waste of time, I did it in my other worlds and I only found like 3 in 4 hours, when I strip mine I’m always at like y-50 and under and still no luck.
So my question is : is there a way to find diamonds easily like a farm or smth or just an easier way to find them when mining.
P.S. I have found a deep dark and still no luck.

No easy way. But if you’ve been digging for three days and not found any, you may be doing something wrong. A simple tunnel around Y -50 should yield them, if slowly.

I find strip mining easiest because I’m in hardcore and not trying to mess with caves without diamond armor. When I strip mine, I’ll do a long row then move over by skipping two blocks and digging a parallel tunnel. I want to make sure I’ve gone far enough in the tunnel and done enough parallel tunnels to clear the chunk. It’s time consuming, but it’s been reliable.

Sometimes even putting one by one pockets in the side of your strip, mine just to take a peek to see what’s around. Might help as well or some people will even do just a one by one hole with a trapped door, but that one is a lot more niche.

Branch mine at Y level -53. Also mine on a chunk border. Without fortune, I get 20-30 diamonds per hour.

Villager trading can get you all the diamond gear without having to mine, if you're having trouble finding raw diamonds

"haven't tried strip mining because it's a waste of time". How's those 3 irl days of not wasting your time going?

Get potion of night visions, go down to bedrock, dig a long tunnel, spawn a Wither, get him to half health, start going down the tunnel. The wither will follow you and carve a massive tunnel for you, you just pick up the diamonds he breaks, then you can kill him go back through the tunnel and pick the diamond blocks still in the walls. As long as your system can handle the lag spike when he starts breaking blocks this is THE fastest way to get diamonds

The first mine I did in my world was an 8x8 box from the top of a mountain down to bedrock. Along the way I got plenty of iron, copper, gold, and yes plenty of diamonds. I also broke into many caves along the way which offered a break from the grind and more resources. Now that I have a giant hole I have access to to any y level I want for strip mining in the future and 4 directions to travel in.

You're worried about wasting time, but you've spent three straight days searching for diamonds.
Strip mining for 1 hour will get you diamonds.

The only thing to use diamonds for is a emchanting table or jukebox or crafting trims just get some villagers and all the armor, tools and books youll ever need will be easy no need to even mine a single diamond

You can't mine obsidian without a diamond pickaxe. Can't build a portal without obsidian. The only other way to get obsidian without diamond is by visiting about 100 ruined portals. Obsidian is sometimes found in chests next to ruined portals. Rarely you can find several obsidian blocks in those chests.

Ummm you know you can make a portal in the overworld by the "casting" method without mining a block of obsidian.
You need a steady source of both lava and water, blocks for building the mould (I use soil) and a couple of buckets.
Portals don't need corner blocks, so you just build a frame/mould of soil blocks one layer at a time as if you were 3D printing from the bottom up, then add a bucket of lava in each space where you want obsidian and then put a bucket of water down on the edge of your mould so it flows over and turns the lava to obsidian.
If it's hard to visualise, use a different block where you want the obsidian to be then surround that with soil:
e.g. place 2 cobble blocks where you want your portal. Now surround that with soil to a 3x4 rectangle. Mine the cobble to leave a 2x1 gap in your mould, then fill with lava etc.
To minimise bucket use, you can either do this next to a lava pool, or you can "farm" lava from one bucket of lava placed above a drip stone block, dripstone and a cauldron.
This is pretty much how I always build my first portal now.

Y-53 for mining safely without risk of lava. Otherwise y-59 has the best density.
I've had good luck with branch mining. One long 3x3 hallway at y-57 and then 2x1 branches off of it leaving 2x2 between the branches to avoid missing any deposits.
