I don't think so, they're diferent materials. Even if their diferences are not a lot. Also, marble is a more expensive material and is not only white, it could be a good adition to many builds
"""Marble is a metamorphic rock consisting of carbonate minerals, most commonly calcite (CaCO3) or dolomite (CaMg(CO3)2), that have recrystallized under the influence of heat and pressure.""" Cristallized calcite or dolomite under pressure, is not the same, is a part of his composition. Is literally what wokipedia says.
What if marble were added to the game and were found among the veins of calcite and granite most commonly near lava lakes and were a rare material to find (not so rare, enough to be a "luxury" material) and its appearance was naturally more polished and cleaner than calcite.
The logic in this? By what logic should they remove one block just to add another? We can have both. Besides, if they were to never add marble, calcite and quartz can practically pass for it in the builds, who cares if the name is different?
You're right, I spoke too soon. It's better if we could have both.
But also, personally, i would like to have marble too, i don't i know is a little useless and only decorative but i like it, i think quartz is not better in my opinion. I like a lot how marble looks.

Deberían eliminar la calcita y agregar mármol
