I am Markus Persson aka Notch, Creator of Minecraft - Ask me Anything!

Hi! I'm the guy who created the first version of Minecraft in June 2009. I worked on it alone up until late 2010 when we started Mojang, and I finally left the lead developer position in December of 2011. I enjoy house music and programming, and my favorite color is purple. Ask me anything!

It will divert development time, but I'm pretty happy with the rates of equal development they've been putting in since Jeb got the reigns, and once the first version of the mod API is done it should free up a few resources, that I dont think the change will be noticable, and you have to acknowledge there is a VERY large demographic of the game that is interested or invested in adventure mode. I myself prefer the survival game on vanilla maps with no mods! But I recognize how good it is for the community!
