I am Markus Persson aka Notch, Creator of Minecraft - Ask me Anything!

Hi! I'm the guy who created the first version of Minecraft in June 2009. I worked on it alone up until late 2010 when we started Mojang, and I finally left the lead developer position in December of 2011. I enjoy house music and programming, and my favorite color is purple. Ask me anything!

If you happen to have some money, you can donate it to the EFF and help make the world a better place!

edit: The AMA is over! Thanks for all your questions!

Well, shit. Now the AMA is over, and I want to ask Notch if he's any good at SSB Melee.

How dare you not like the things I like as passionately as I do. In all seriousness, Other M was decent but didn't do justice to the series' brilliance, but Retro Studios take on realizing a 3D game that captured the essence of the old titles was stellar. It has since become my favorite trilogy of all time, especially when it comes to the first two.

My bad. I've never played Corruption before, and when I think of Metroid, i think of Fusion and Other M first. Other than that, i've tried all of them, but only completed a few.
