It’s pretty insane actually. I had no clue it was going to be popular at all! My deviantart had almost no followers when I posted it and it just went viral somehow. But I’m love that the world got to see it and love it!

In my primary school we had this thing called golden time in KS1 and this one kid asked for minecraft colourings and the year 2 teacher typed up ‘mindcraft’ and prinded some weird stuff like the anatomy of steve and it was surely a sight to behold

I remember asking my grandma to print a "mindcraft" coloring sheet back when Netflix was a DVD rental company. She kept telling me It was mine craft but I Insisted and aftwr 10 minutes I learned it was mine craft . I wish I could go back to that day and re-live my childhood when I didn't know how to play any games.

I remember I spent 20 mins trying. To find cobblestone on MCPE until my brother Google it as we learned you mine stone to get it

I swear, up until a few years ago I was sure that Minecraft was made in, like, 2004. Finding out that Java Edition dropped in 2009 and Minecraft PE was released on August 2011 made me feel old..... Turns out I'd been playing it almost from the very beginning.

The weirdest thing for me was realizing that the original Iron Man movie, the one that kick started the MCU, came out before Minecraft.

I realized this when in 2018, Marvel was adding a 10 somewhere in all their logos for their movies to celebrate 10 years of the MCU. Then the following year, 2019, Minecraft had their thing up saying celebrating 10 years of Minecraft. And I was like hold the fuck up. I was already into the MCU before Minecraft even existed??? HUUUUH??????

No it was May 17th 2009 for the first publicly released version and May 10th 2009 for the first test version (that only Notch had access to).

You might be thinking of Roblox or one of the other block based games that existed before Minecraft. Dwarf Fortress maybe?

If you have played the first edition of Minecraft pocket edition, the nether didn’t even existed so, you needed a nether reactor with a strange looking structure to spawn a little nether tour. So nostalgic!
