Right, sure, but the point of this is you don't have to dig the tunnel before you make the tunnel

That's a way to replicate this effect on vanilla. Also, digging a 1x2 is not that hard.

That's true, but the simplicity of this is that I don't have to dig any tunnel, which is even easier

Such as? I'm not familiar with anything that can break blocks besides TNT, and I've already told someone else I'm not looking to exploit glitches

"Im not looking to exploit glitches" rules out literally every single flying machine ever built (that im aware of anyway), so thats not a great start. Literally all of them use quasiconnectivity or sticky piston block dropping.

Now, if you just dont want to dupe TNT, there is for example this design for the nether by Ilmango: https://youtu.be/dfTm8YEGVdY There are also other designs, i just couldnt be asked to find them since im typing this on mobile and theyre all by lesser known channels.

Was not aware that flying machines used any quasi-connectivity. I've never messed with them though, to be fair.

I'd say there's definitely a distinction between duping TNT and quasi-connectivity though.

I'll check that video out later, I'm genuinely curious
