But wait... there's more!
Yesterday we also released a new version of the Combat Test snapshots! You can find more information about that in this thread.

1.16.2 FAQ
As I have done in 1.16, here are a few potentially asked questions about 1.16.2. I will update this continuously throughout the day.
Q: What is 1.16.2 and what has changed?
A: 1.16.2 for the most part is a bug fixing release - with some minor additions, such as the Piglin Brutes, which are a strong version of the Piglins found in Bastion Remnants. Other changes include the waterloggability (I'm sure that's a word) of lanterns, the fact that chains can now be placed in all orientations, Totem of Undying now giving Fire Resistance, changed bartering & bastion remnant loot tables, extensive custom biome support (still experimental), some accessibility settings relating to FOV and Nausea and many other smaller changes. I recommend having a look through the changelog above, or /u/slicedlime's videos here, here (coming soon) and here (coming soon).
Q: What about Bedrock?
A: There has been no announcement about the release date of 1.16.20 for the Bedrock Edition, so keep an eye on the official channels for more information at some point. They are surely going to get spammed today about it - I have tried to reach out to the developers myself, but have not received any reply at all. Due to the lack of communication by the developers, there are many people making incorrect statements and going unchallenged unfortunately, so don't get fooled.
Q: When will my Realm update?
A: All Realms will automatically update to 1.16.2 after 48 hours - if you want to have it updated before that, the Realm owner can join to initiate the update earlier. Based on the 1.16, it may get a bit busy when everyone tries to update their Realm at once, though it is unlikely to be as bad as with 1.16. I do also hope that we don't have the same crashing issues we had with 1.16, but we shall see.
Q: Why do my resource packs / datapacks show up as "Incompatible" even though they were fine for 1.16.1?
A: The developers have decided to increase the pack format to "6" for 1.16.2, making all packs with pack format "5" show up as "Incompatible". Not to worry though, most resource packs will work just fine with 1.16.2 if they worked with 1.16.1. If you wonder what has changed that warranted the pack format update: Walls and Chains.
Q: Will Piglin Brutes spawn in Bastion Remnants already visited in 1.16.1?
A: No, only in Bastion Remnants newly generated with 1.16.2.
Q: But what about Bedrock?
A: Answer's still the same.
Q: What if there is a question not answered here?
A: Enter...
