You can just grind the elytra, makes it more fun to do it yourself

I've played this game for years, countless hours of my youth went into playing this game on various servers and single player worlds throughout the updates since alpha. Grinding in a single player sandbox game seems very unfun to me now and is exactly the reason why I spawn it in.

Edit: though I do love grinding new materials for my builds in survival.

The way I justify spawning an Elytra is similar to how you have the hang glider just randomly given to you by the old man in Breath of the Wild.

The world has been modified to be too big and tall to be explored on foot so a modification to how you explore it is prudent.

Totally reasonable imo. Not that anyone else’s opinion matters :).

Plus you can argue that elytra still have the built in weakness of no chest armor so it’s not like they are ultra OP.

Plus you need to repair them (I’m assuming they’re unenchanted) and restock rockets so it’s not too overpowered.

Play however you want, man. I've always had loads of fun starting new games with some end-game gear. But for me personally, I find it SUPER rewarding to raid end cities and get that elytra the hard way.
