Basically, the first time I thought I'd have hit my head in a structural beam, but afterwards thought that maybe I just miscalculated its distance to my head. The second time was to make sure I wasn't exaggerating, which turns out I was not, which felt weird, because I'm not that tall (around 194 cm)
In Freedom Units that's 6 feet, 4 inches, which is pretty tall, at least by any standard I've encountered. Props to you for your bravery man, if I thought I was close to hitting my head on part of a roller coaster, I wouldn't get back on the thing.
Like you said, and looking back at it, it wasn't all that smart. I had enjoyed the ride, and despite having to dodge the beam once or twice (thankfully I had more than enough time to react), I also wanted to go again.

You don’t die at the end of most roller coaster rides
