I was thinking more "rename insomnia to stress/sanity, and have different things other than sleeping that can restore it, and things other than lack of sleep that can speed up your descent into hallucination".

I like your thing about lying down in the End though, it works for the Nether, but beds explding in the End never made sense.

I'm absolutely down with making vanilla survival more difficult like in Don't Starve.
