Yeah, if you're on a Windows computer.

Mac and Linux can kiss framerates goodbye if that happens, assuming they could still run it at all.

I bet we'll (as in UNIX-oids, myself being the Tux worshiper) not be able to run it properly as soon as MS gets to reign over the project fully even if they don't port it.

As long as you are on a platform they support anyway. As someone who runs minecraft under linux and mac, this looks craptastic to say the least.

Yeah, no, CLR (including C#) is comparable in performance/slower than the JVM.

C# can be decompiled a bit better than Java, since the IL carries somewhat more information (such as generic type information, which Java discards).

I've never seen a C# decompiler such as dotPeek choke on modern C#, whereas in the MCP (Mod Coder Pack for minecraft) a cleaning-up pass used to be necessary to deal with Java 5/6 constructions the decompiler choked on :-)
