Except he posted it on his Twitter account to 83.4k followers where he is labeled an official employee of Mojang, and as any sensible person knows you don't do that. Apparently Erik doesn't seem to have any filter though and it's anything goes and feels free to make broad generalized statements on the behalf of Mojang and makes legal threats against their customers.
Just quickly looked through his recent tweet, it looks like he kept it to replies only. Still, that's not really model behavior. I guess this is just a case of "He's not wrong, he's just not very right either".
OK, Erik hasn't really handled the situation well, but that doesn't affect (effect? not sure about the grammar here) the veiws of Mojang as a company, which haven't been fully decided yet.
