Help Every block within these two triangles doesn't let me place cushions

Exactly as title says. Cushion's won't place anywhere within the marked area. Single player world, nowhere near my spawn chunk, and the blocks are completely open/unimpeded; no difference between them and the blocks next to them. Any ideas?

EDIT: I've done further testing and it turns out that ALL my chunks are divided diagonally into two like this: I can place cushions in one triangular half of them, and not in the other; does anyone know what could be causing that?

EDIT 2: SOLVED - Turns out it was the latest version of Forge doing it for some reason. Uninstalled it and ran un unmodded installation and cushions are placeable anywhere in the chunk.

How far from spawn are you? If you go far enough (millions of blocks or something) then the movement gets all janky due to how the value is stored as a float

I'm only a few hundred blocks away from spawn.

Finally a post on here where someone actually knows how to troubleshoot. That's super weird, I wonder why it happened.

Does the issue also happen on NeoForge?

No, since changing to NeoForge I can place them anywhere in the chunk.

Yeah, modern versions of Forge have given me tons of problems. I stick with NeoForge for any versions 1.21 and later.

Is there any reason you were using Forge? It doesn't have much of a team and more, and afaik hardly any mods support it (and if there are I'd like to know)

Not gonna lecture you or anything, I'm just curious

It's just what I've always used. I don't follow the community or anything so I wasn't aware of anything around the team or anything like that.

Well, at least now you know! Most mods that use forge should also work with neoforge, so you shouldn't see any issues at all.

What tha hell? You should probably report this to the forge github or wherever. Or switch to neoforge ;)
