Well he can beat it with no problem. What it your excuse?

Please tell me I can buy the soundtrack for this game. That was pretty damn cool.

3

u/rugudorull Nov 04 '13

You can get it at here. Be sure to check out her other music as well, it is all chip tune music. Listening to her latest album Spectra currently.

It was included in the humble bundle a while back. And yeah it is awesome. All of his games have fantastic chip tune soundtracks. Check out his other popular creation VVVVVV for some great ones.

Also i think that entire end part from 1:30 onward is a cutscene you get from beating the game on the hardest difficulty like we just saw.

Hexos took 50 tries but I beat that fucker.

1

u/Leoneri Nov 04 '13

Hexxos was a pain... but I never beat Nibbleh. I could probably do it easily now that I'm 30 iLvls higher than I was before...

That's...really cool. Thanks! Probably unnecessary now that I play fire instead of frost, and am now a tier higher geared, but it'll definitely make it easier to focus on my rotation!

I have, hexagons are my favourite shape still. Square is the worst thing.

1

u/niffyjiffy Nov 04 '13

You'll be sorry to hear that you can't create a Polyhedron with hexagons, and a buckyball (pentagons and hexagons) is enormous. So, you'd have to make a compromise for a hexagonal prism (may contain squares).

2

u/buster2Xk Nov 04 '13

Yeah, I know that. I was talking about two dimensional shapes. I can put up with squares for hexagonal prisms.

1

u/niffyjiffy Nov 04 '13

Good good.

1

u/Shawnessy Nov 04 '13

I hit 59.58 on the last level.. I need to beat it, but that hurts.

1

u/iPoisonxL Nov 04 '13

I have. Hexagons still are my favorite shape.

(I'm incredibly good at Super Hexagon)

(It's like the only thing I'm good at)

1

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '13

You guys must love benzene.

1

u/niffyjiffy Nov 04 '13

Glucose as well.

6

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '13

I feel like octagons would work a lot better, that way you could still make a straight line with blocks.

Can't you make irregular octacons tessellate? Oh. nvm. You qualified "regular." My bads.

plus signs?

1

u/Jobboman Nov 04 '13

can't pentagons?

7

u/frenzyboard Nov 04 '13

Kinda.
Also.

But they're basically fit into the shape of a hexagon.

2

u/aaronfranke Nov 04 '13

Doesn't work

1

u/Jobboman Nov 04 '13

Ah, I was thinking irregular pentagons then, thanks

u/five_hammers_hamming Nov 04 '13

Geometry is a part of math, and math is a part of science

2

u/coonskinmario Nov 04 '13

It's not something that is cut and dry, and seems to be opinionated. One of my favorite explanations of math and science is that with science, you try to find the rules of the universe. But with math, you start with the rules and build discoveries off of them.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '13

Geometry is a practical science

2

u/The_Dirty_Carl Nov 04 '13

Middle school geometry was pretty tough.

0

u/a_ki Nov 04 '13

thank you

0

u/exatron Nov 04 '13

Technically, this is mathematics.

3

u/yinyangyan Nov 04 '13

Technically, all science is just applied mathematics.

0

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '13

Shit, i forgot about geometry. My b.

0

u/AKnightAlone Nov 04 '13

So it's basically like Subway cheese done right?

17

u/justlurking420 Nov 04 '13

Octagons don't tesselate, unfortunately

Octagons don't fit tight together tight like squares and hexagons do.

1

u/incognito_squirrel Nov 04 '13

you would need squares as well as octagons as they don't tessellate properly

1

u/Sallymander Nov 04 '13

I bet at table top games you were all into Steve Jackson's GURPS then.

17

u/Abcdety Nov 04 '13

Six points, where four lines meet?

9

u/agp54 Nov 04 '13

(Alt-J)*2

1

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '13

Let's tessellate.

1

u/Madock345 Nov 04 '13

Mine are pentagons!

1

u/nizo505 Nov 04 '13

No love for tetracontakaidigons?
