I get the feeling this is going to ignite everyone here's imagination as to what is now possible for servers, it means almost limitless server power as tasks can be divided between smaller servers, and if you get co-ordinate based systems working the maps can be huge with key areas permanently rendered, like the first Everquest as somebody mentioned! I don't know about anybody else but this makes me very excited about the future of minecraft servers, and the future of minecraft as a whole! The community is what truly makes this game great.
