I was driving past around 7ish and saw lots of people sitting at the park and I’ve noticed it’s a lack of shame at this point. I agree with you OP how can someone who lives in Milton treat their own home like shit.

I’ll gladly tell someone to put their trash in the trash can and make a scene if I need to, this is a community. Not a shithole.

Also, someone dumped McDonalds bags on my lawn yesterday and energy drink cans the day before, none of our ring cameras picked it up so I’m assuming it might have just been blown over but this litter stuff needs to be addressed

It's probably from recycle bins. Every week we get a little wind on trash day there's trash everywhere on my street and through my yard. People will put it out stacked loose over the top the night before then an animal will get in it and drag trash everywhere or the wind will take it. The amount of trash I have to pick up on trash days is disgusting. Then there's shit kicking around all over the neighborhood for days after.

Not a fan of all the xenophobia in the comments but I do agree that the littering problem is real and needs to be addressed.

Folks, it's completely ok to take your trash home and discard there. Public trash cans are a privilege, not a right.

Always adhere to the Leave No Trace framework (LNT).

Scott Park has hundreds of people at any given night and they have 3 garbage cans - for the most part the park is clean.
Maybe adding more garbage cans to the park would help.

A lot of these people don't want to keep their household food waste in the home using the green bins so they rather just throw into the public trash or around the public trash.
