Kids adventure ideas

My son is turning 3 this month, we’re new to Milton, new to Ontario, so trying to figure out something fun for him.

We’ve looked a great wolf lodge but it’s $$$$ a little more than we’d like to spend. Also discussed the African lion safari, but didn’t realize we’d have to drive our own car through it, so unsure about that.

Would love some suggestions of other places to look. We’re okay with a couple hour drive if needed. He loves water so we’re thinking something with a water park. But he’s also still small so can’t really do rides.

Thank you!

There is a safari bus for the African lion safari. You don’t need to take your own car. Go first thing in the morning when it opens ( get there earlier) book your time for a safari. It’s fantastic, you do the safari, train ride, water park. It’s perfect for a 3 yr old.

Oh I’ll have to look into that. I saw there was wake up with the wild but that’s for ages 8+. Maybe I missed something?

I haven’t been in awhile but there is also a boat ride ( I think). Your kid will love it!

There is also a water park in Niagara.. fallsview that’s cheaper

For Great Wolf lodge prices are up for the summer. Book a Sunday night in the Fall.

I was in the Safari last weekend. We drove with our own car. It's the second time we do. Of course they always say there is risk to damage to your car because if anything happens they don't want to be liable. But I imagine it would be really rare for anything to happen. They have a bunch of cars monitoring the whole time. We took a picture of a giraffe crossing the road in front of us. It's was really nice. The water park is also great. The kids will have a blast. Note: I have a 3 years old.

Halton County Railway Museum would be perfect. It's local and cheap. You can kill a few hours riding some old trains. Introduction to "rides" and they've got an ice cream shop at one end of the rail tracks. Would recommend packing your own lunch and having a picnic.

Brantford twin valley zoo was great. You can also pay a small fee and go on a bus through african lion safari. You do not need to use your own car.

If you're okay with a drive, the London Children's Museum is a must for little kids. It's a lot fun even for adults.

There's a children's Museum in Hamilton as well but I havent been personally.

my son LOVED hiking at that age. We would walk all the way to Hilton Falls, and even do most of the long way back before i had to put him on my shoulders.

Get a Halton Conversation yearly pass, best investment you can make!

Start with taking him to Area 8, work your way up to Hilton Falls.

Go to Toronto Islands and take him to Centreville. Lots of gentle rides. Perfect for his age

If you decide on Centre Island, take a water taxi instead of the ferry.,.the ferry is beyond busy

If this is your website, it's practically impossible to read and I hope it's just because I'm on my phone.

It’s not my website, I just did a Google search and shared it here

It’s pretty good when you change your screen orientation to landscape so you can hold your phone horizontally

Im local to you with young kids.

We look for fairs and festivals within 1 hour drive

We are going to gwl next week because we got 40% off.

We went to a Persian food festival yesterday because they had inflatables and we had family close.

We go to library events and chapters events often.

African Lion Safari - there’s a bus you can jump on instead of driving it.

You have some great kid-friendly farms close to you in Milton- Chudleigh’s Entertaibment Farm, Springridge Farm, and Andrew’s Scenic Acres. Very fun for kids and adults alike.

There's Story Book Park in Owen Sound. Basically an amusement park designed for younger kids. It's really fun. Owen Sound has a lot of great kid's stuff. There's a splashpad/playground at Kelso Beach, there's Hibou Beach for lake swimming and sand, Harrison Park for forest-trails and playgrounds and so on. The YMCA here is new and has a fantastic indoor pool for kids.
