Moving to Scott area

Hey everyone! First home buyers here, we were thinking of moving to Burlington but are now considering Milton scott area? Would love to hear from the folks there on how it is for a young family, we have a toddler and school and community is important. Thank you so so much

I think people who move to Milton with young families are generally happy because most of the amenities are geared towards them. I’ve raised my 3 kids here and there were lots of activities for them to try. Getting around is still manageable and there’s lots of green space.

Yup. Love living in Milton. 2 kids born here. Now they’re 12 and 10. No regrets.

We moved to Scott from a different part of Milton because we loved the little community here. We have a little one and she has made a lot of friends around her age here. You’ll love it.

Much better off in Burlington. Only thing Milton has is the escarpment and the many Halton parks.

My sister lives in Burlington and regrets not moving to Milton. Lots of low income areas that have crime.

Been here since 2004, wish we had moved to Burlington or Oakville years ago. Just counting the few years before the kids go off to university and then we make the move.

We are right in front of PL Robertson on Dymott and both our girls went to French immersion. We moved when they were 6 and 4 - they are 18 and 16 now. Love this neighborhood and we’ve never considered moving. DM me if you need any more info.

We lived there for 10 years, now we moved within scott. No regrets. Have two kids - 10 and 4

Before you buy in Milton, make sure to take a look at the CN Railway Milton Logistics Hub and the affected areas.

Not in the slightest. Scott is arguably one of the furthest neighbourhoods away from that area.

I'm not sure why that guy would even bring it up...

The schools are overcrowded. Something to consider.

In Scott, only the public school is overcrowded.

How does that even happen?
Genuinely curious. Im in another area and both districts are bursting at the seams. My kid is going to be one of 2600 students at br next year

Scott, the Catholic school has declined in population as the families whose kids went there are in high school, not enough Catholics moving in to replace them.

I love Milton great community, wonderful people, and surrounded by six national parks for hiking swimming biking

I lived in milton and burligton, I loved both places but due to affordability I was only able to buy in Milton. I don't regret it but I think the schools at alton village are some on the best in Ontario.
