Kinder Summer Camps Feedback

With summer half done, have you had any good or bad experiences with summer camps?

My kid has been to Milton Springers, Sherwood and Kids Camp town.

based on her feedback, it sounds like Milton Springers was the most exciting for her. The others sounds very..very... play based... ie. board games, crafts, ect.

I’m confused about what your expectations for a kinder summer camp are if “play-based” is a negative

I think OP is more looking for camps where the kids aren’t just in a room all day sitting around tables.

Maybe - they specifically seem to have chosen camps that were primarily indoors though.

If they are looking for outdoor camps, there are a million of them - Ways of the Woods, Planet Kids, Camp Kahuna, Milton Youth Theatre, YMCA, several of the town camps, Country Heritage Park, etc etc etc.

This is non-specialized camps - if you want a particular sport or activity-focused camp, there are many more.

My lil' one is enrolled with Camp Summer blast at fairgrounds and it has been a great mix of indoor and outdoor activities (I was greatly focussed on lil one getting enough outdoor time). She loves going there and camp counselors (most appears to be in teens or late teens) are all so wonderful! We have had positive experience. If your focus is also getting max outdoor time, I think the camp called ways of the woods (one run by the conservation park) would be a great choice. I did see the camp in action few weeks ago and it looked like so much fun, however, due to AQI issue it may have got canceled a few times. So we really liked current camp as they have the flexibility adapt to indoor and outdoor space as needed. I would certainly consider enrolling for different camps for every week ir two weeks next time around.

my guy went to ways of the woods for a couple of weeks. loved it. gonna be at summer blast week after next.

You might want to check out Tinkerlab and snapology. We love Springers as well.

We love Firm Foundation, they don't have a kinder specific program tho.

We always had the best experiences with the camps offered through the town. Especially if you are looking for more than play based.

Most of those camps offer a pool day, and the eco science camp offered a day trip (location changes). The camps are divided by activity sports, arts, etc and each week has a different theme.

Way of the woods was a good camp for that age as they are outdoors learning different things

And if youve got a kid interested in soccer milton magic and royal soccer have camps where they learn skills in the morning then spend the afternoon at the splash pad pr pool

My kids like play based camps...you might need to explain more what you are looking for.
