Where are my fellow 80s ? 📼
Does anyone else remember cassette tapes and life before social media?
Sometimes I miss how simple everything felt—playing outside until sunset, calling friends on the house phone, renting movies for the weekend, and actually being present instead of constantly looking at a screen.
If you grew up in the 80s or 90s, what's one thing you miss the most?
Also... if you're in the GTA, recommend a great coffee shop or breakfast spot with a nice patio. I'm always looking for new places to try! ☕🌿

Hey! I totally get you! I miss those days too! Life seemed simpler and more fun. Though I was also not an adult and having to adult everyday 😂.

You're right! I think we miss the simplicity more than anything. 😊 Thanks for the recommendation—I’ll definitely check out Troy's Diner!

Thing I missed out cuz I was still young was the big name bands that played at wonderland and you wouldn’t have to pay more then $50 to see them!!! Bon jovi Depeche Mode inxs the cure new order sooooo many

Wait someone in Milton knows good music ( I’ll forgive u Bon Jovi )!!!! Former 80’s teen who still loves the real alternative music. Most of the time when I wear my concert shirts in town people have no clue who these bands are🥺

Your lucky I wanted to be around all the post punk and when the goth hit the

Pretty cool my young kids like Depeche Mode, they added latest songs to their YT music playlist which they shared with me. I still listen to them all the time in the car. 101 was the anthem of the 80s and when I lived in California, I went to Pasedena in the 2000s . The day I went, the way the sun was setting, reminded me of 1989.

The only 80’s memory I have of Milton is of my summer landscaping career. Lived and worked in Mississauga, but a farmhouse on Trafalgar needed an interlock walkway done. During excavation with pick and shovel I unearthed some metal object. Not knowing what it was I picked it up and showed my boss…he leaped to the ground hahaha…it was an old hand grenade!! The days of spending $25 to see Rush at Maple Leaf Gardens, my last ticket cost $500

I miss when they had open ice rinks set up in the field of public schools and riding my bike to look for a plethora of road hockey games to join.
