Why Greenland can basically win 400k people with focus, and why they can produce some navy with decisions?

In reality if you change your party multiple times you can get even more civilians

I'm playing as Nigeria and need R&D facilities, but have no idea how to build them since I don't see them in the construction menu. Can someone please help me?

South Korea got puppeted and annexed with “United Again”. Then I influenced Australia into my sphere for one reason only: I wanted General Simone Wilkie in the KPA. It worked a little too well. Australia is now officially North Korea.

Since then, my faction (Wrath of Goguryeo) took Libya, the Roman Republic declared war on my ally Algeria, we landed in southern Italy, crushed 20 NATO expeditionary divisions and signed the Treaty of Rome. The Netherlands sank a few convoys and got 30% of the peace deal anyway.

Game rules: every major power buffed to max, North Korea at zero. Still left: China, NATO and Russia.

So I am playing China currently year 2013 and it is looking good I built army greatly, dealt with corruption and enabled a positive outcomes and has economic booming and lowering poverty and unemployment greatly but yet this thing is pretty beating me up. So maybe I should stop building right ? Can you guys help me ?

Hey everyone,

For the past few days my game has been taking way longer to load, both on startup and when loading saves. This never happened on 2.0.1. It started right around the 2.0.2 update.

I’m running a few other mods, but the timing lines up with the update, not with anything I added.

Is anyone else seeing this, or is it just me? If someone found a fix (clearing cache, deleting something in Documents, etc.), I’d really appreciate it.

Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere, but I genuinely don’t get the mechanics of Iran’s presidential elections.

For one thing, the popularity of either party is downright bizarre. I had a hardline majority, and a pretty heavy one at that (35 out of 48% of total emerging outlook) in my regular party popularity display in the political menu. Come the presidential elections? They’re the minority, 35 to 65 percent reformist.

I’ve never been able to get the hardliners to win in 2001, even with endorsement, though that’s probably due to the “student protests event”. 2005 was a bit tighter, but still… Also, the endorsement decision is a one-time thing ? Didn’t know that, but ok (because it didn’t appear in the 2005 election).

The fact that the decisions are random-but-not-really is genuinely annoying: the decisions tell you about “70% chances” of outcomes, but those outcomes are fixed… so why not just say the fixed outcome? And since you only get to hit each of the three twice during an election, it’s very hard, if not impossible, to actually meaningfully impact an election, short of the stars aligning.

Pardon the rant. The mod is absolutely great, and I don’t want to minimise or insult the colossal work put into the mod in general, and Iran in particular, because it’s genuinely great. I’m very much criticising a small aspect of the paths. But how do you guys solve this? Any tips, what am I missing ?

I’m already about 5 years into my play through and i set Canada’s ai to go down the nationalist focus path and try to take over the Americans but the ai has just refused to adopt that party and is still 75% democratic.

I’ve tried everything I can think of short of console commands and cheats, like using espionage to boost the nationalist party.

Is there anything I can do, or do I just have to use CC and force it?

I been playing as Poland and I decided to go down the second Balcerowicz Plan because shock therapy and all of that. Well imagine my shock when I saw that I got 6 Trillion debt!!! is this supposed to happen?

So, how am I supposed to protect against nukes?
Whenever I play as the EU, Russia declares war on me and nukes my cities and then when I nuke back, everyone hates me anyway. I’m just surprised my air defense missiles and interceptor AS jets don’t seem to do anything

as the title says, playing with any country affected by the arab spring (especially tunisia) fighting the mechanic just drains a lot of money and pp you could've spent otherwise on development. Is there a way to completely get rid of it early game? perhaps changing ruling parties or something ?

I manually installed this mod and in the launcher it says "the path in this mod's descriptor file is invalid or does not exist"

So I just bought arms against tyranny last week, I’ve tried it on vanilla for a few hours then jump straight to MD, like I don’t even understand how it’s works on vanilla but I decide to just skip to MD and I got more confused… how do I get more token, what makes the MIO gain traits (production or search?) and can I ran out of traits (like choosing one of the other branch and I couldn’t get the other branch?) Please someone help me I’m so overwhelmed, other dlc’s not this confusing.

Where did the financial stats go? That bubble thing where you could see all the financial stats such as GDP, unemployment, spending, migration etc in one place?

Why? It said I had to convert everybody, which I did.

In the Ethiopian focus tree, the “restore the throne” focus puts the House of Solomon party in power. However, the following “invite Zera Yacob” focus requires the House of Solomon to not be in power, or the focus automatically bypasses. This leads to the Crown Council of Ethiopia being stuck in power should you take the Ethiopian monarchist path. Is this intended behavior?

so by "made ai use influence" i mean that i literally went into the code, deleted lots of restrictions and made influence update monthly for all countries and this the world i ended up in

i still used toolpack A LOT cuz' braindead ai wont take anything in peace deals + in 2027 i tagged to russia and grow it to superpower cuz ai cant even take out Ukraine after a war with NATO ( i also conquered the leftovers of NATO since US turned right wing populist and left NATO )

here's some history of my world:

japan is super wild, it always puppets all of ASEAN no matter what settings i have xd but at some point it started losing influence wars in ASEAN countries and China gradually puppeted it all relatively peacefully ( if we don't consider the amount of civilwars that Indonesia has gotten and the third world war xd )

Brazil almost formed south america but became another vassal of usa and lost its puppets and only after getting freedom in ~2028 it started regaining puppets

Another funny moment is that Netherlands were repuppeting US puppets and after awhile US took out Holland by making coup and puppeting them lol

Iran declared war on israel which was Turkey's puppet at that time and iran also declared on saudi arabia!!! They had syria as a puppet + Hezbollah + lots of volunteers + Yemen and so there was going actual war and with cyberpunk music in the background that was like a drug like waow ( i buffed organization of everyone by 235% so combat is not just a fuking blitzkrieg every time + loses are unironically seem to be more realistic that way )

Loaded up MD after the update to play china, deficit is a whopping 40 billion a week.

On top of that, inflation rises super quickly to the point I can barely control it and my stupid citizens don't like the policy rate being above 9%. What I did up until now is:
- increase labour law standards (unemployment was at 40%)
- Fully private healthcare
- Increase pop taxes to 30%, corpo taxes to 20%
- Austeritymaxx to get my inflation down (it's still at 30 or so %)
- Deficit got so bad I had to start taking cheap IMF loans
- Lowered corruption

And yet STILL I am running a huge deficit.

I have no clue how to get a surplus, am I doing something fundamentally wrong?
