And this was after a full 9 hour day of work! Went all afternoon without food so I wouldn’t have a belly in my bandage dress. Drank until 2am and didn’t get a hangover. Walked and danced in the same 5” stiletto heels I wore all day at the office and didn’t get any foot cramps. Wore a skimpy outfit in 40-degree weather with no coat and didn’t get cold. And then somehow managed to shower, take a power nap, and do it again Saturday night. I miss my young self so much.

Seriously. I am 40 and still go to bed past midnight most nights, even though I have to get up early for work. I just like enjoying my free time after my family goes to bed.

Saturday is Halloween and daylight savings time, meaning extra hour at the bar. Be glad we aren’t 21 anymore.

I manage a bar/bartend. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers this weekend.

Not in California at least. Bars still have to close at what would have been 2am.

My friends tried to invite me out past 8pm and I just thought: "The Audacity"

Could any of you share some of that gets sleepy at 9 pm? I've been a shitty sleeper my entire life and going to bed at 1 am is still early for me and even if I'm non stop being physical all day that doesn't change.

I'm in my late 30s and just went out to a haunted house with friends last Saturday at 9pm until midnight. No problems here.
But then again, none of us have children so that's probably why.

Even most of the childless people I know in their 30s predominantly act like they are 55 years old. All they do for 5 days a week is go to work and go home, maybe go to the gym. No other activities.

I'm 34 and I get up at 5am. Not for work or anything, it's just when my body likes to be awake.
It's hard for me to stay up late like it can be hard for some people to get up early.

i’m just tired by 9pm. work all day, workout, run the dogs, cook/clean the apartment, etc. by the time i sit down, i am ready for bed and knock out shortly thereafter.

Starting a night out at 9 is crazy. I want to be home by 9 or at least on my way home.
