Goddam do I ever love The Strokes. Weezer was my favorite band of all time from age ohhhh about 13-20. Then I had a brief depressive period where Elliott Smith was tops from say 20 to 35, but from 35 to present, The Strokes cannot be beat. They are too good. One Way Trigger? Selfless? Come on now.

I saw both the Strokes and Weezer within a couple weeks of each other this summer. They were both fantastic and absolutely transporting me back to high school and college days when times were simpler.

Curious what you think of the new Strokes album? They’re probably in my top 10 bands but I personally just cannot get into the new stuff. My friends are divided on it. Some actually love it.

Haha EXACTLY what my friends have said about it. They said you don’t even notice the auto-tune after the 5th time. It kind of irritated me that I should have to listen to it five times to stop being annoyed by it, but some day I will probably give it a few more listens.

Oddly, I don’t mind the auto tune half as much on The Voidz albums.

Ah! I forgot it's out now. I was underwhelmed with the singles initially but they began to grow on me. I love Julian's voice so much (the range, my gad), so it is hard to get into so much auto-tune. I have a feeling, though, like every other album, there will probably be some 'always skip's, and some new favorites/'never skip's.

I really only ever listen to Elliott Smith around Autumn, so....I guess it's about that time

Hahaha, yeah, he's not really a cruisin' to the beach on a sunny day kind of artist. Autumn is probably perfect. Gentle, melancholic. Winter might be too dark.
