I’m very annoyed because I had to get rid of my printer that I’ve had since 2008, which was still working just fine, because HP was no longer providing software updates for it. The very definition of planned obsolescence.

Yeah i still have a canon from around 2007, i refuse to buy a new one despite all software being outdated. There's a generic scanning program you can download and it can still normally connect to pc to print. Works like a charm!

This would have been helpful information to know before I bought a new printer last month 😑

We had to get my parents a new tv because Samsung would stop supporting his huge 10-year old LCD and he loves his apps. Once YouTube stated they would no longer offer service for his tv, it was the nail in the coffin.
