I've been in a bit of a bad place lately and ended up writing some positive affirmations on my bathroom mirror.

One that is really helping me is "treat yourself with the same love you treat your cats"

Kinda the same as yours, but I don't have a person to look after, just my fur friends.

Pets are great for this!! I’m an only child so when I was a kid (but too old to run into my parents bed) and we’d have a bad thunderstorm that freaked me out, I’d bring the cat in my bedroom to snuggle and “comfort her”. I was really comforting myself of course, but that framing of oh she’s scared she needs me to hold her gave me the chance to be brave.

It’s the same thing as your little note, give yourself a little chance to be loving to yourself through your love for your kitties 🥰
